Andrew joined the Seven Network in the Brisbane newsroom, writing the weather for the weekend bulletin.

While honing his skills in Brisbane and with Seven Maroochydore, he was offered a position as the Sports Journalist in Cairns, and a week later he started with the Network's most northern bureau.

A self confessed sports tragic, Andrew has played and coached many sports including swimming, hockey, AFL and rugby union with a bit of success, winning 6 premierships across 3 sports.

Straight out of school, Andrew studied Construction Management and Landscape Architecture before leaving uni and working full time managing a small business.

He then felt the need for a career that was interesting and versatile, so he chose journalism.

When he's not working or watching sport, Andrew tries to stay active and can often be found doing laps at the local pool or pounding the pavements around Cairns.
