Tracy Moran was born in North Queensland, but grew up on the Sunshine Coast.
She returned to the North in 2005, to fulfil her dream to become a television journalist. One of the highlights of her career to date is the coverage of Kathryn Ellicott's miraculous survival after her car plunged 40 metres down the Paluma range.
The 60-year-old mother of four, survived eight days in the rainforest, with no food or supplies.
Since moving to Townsville, Tracy has also covered the Morris inquiry, VP60 celebrations and the Cowboys journey to the NRL grand final in 2005.
Tracy loves the North Queensland lifestyle and looks forward to a long career in the region
