Producer/Journalist – Cairns
Andrew Lund

Andrew Lund joined the Channel 7 team in 2002, as a casual reporter in the network's Sunshine Coast newsroom.

He graduated from the Queensland University of Technology early in 2003, with a bachelor of journalism.

Later that year he moved north, to fill a vacancy in Seven's Mackay bureau.

In November 2003, Andrew was approached to be a part of the launch team for Seven Local News in Cairns.

Since then, Andrew has been a witness to the devastation caused by Cyclones Larry and Monica, the tragedy of the Lockhart River air disaster, the controversial Daintree development ban as well as covering federal, state and local elections.

He was the winner of the 2004 Tropical North Queensland Media Award for Best Film and Television News story.

Andrew took on the role of far north Queensland Bureau Chief in January 2005.

In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, and has embarked on numerous trips overseas, including Europe, Russia, South America and the United States
