Born in Ireland, Louise graduated as dux of Emmaus College in Melbourne and completed a Law/Arts degree at Monash University.

Louise was awarded Honours in Politics for a thesis in International Relations.

She then completed a Graduate Diploma in Journalism, with distinction, at RMIT.
