Hello Everyone,
Well, I thought I would do something a little bit different this week. I decided to keep a little diary each day. Whenever I had a chance (which wasn’t all that often!) I would write down what’s been happening or what I might have heard. Here are some of the highlights (and lowlights)…
Monday
Matilda asked if she could move in with us here. I feel for the girl – she’s very unhappy at the moment – but I wasn’t completely comfortable with the idea. I was glad Tony stepped in and told us she hadn’t full discussed it with him yet. I understand he and Lucas are hurt that she wants to move out, but she is determined. Despite being unsure about it at first, Ric ended up supporting Matilda’s idea to move in so he was just as shocked when I decided that no, it’s not going to happen. She’s too young for such a move…
Brad survived his first day back at school. It wasn’t easy for him to just be a teacher and not the principal, but I’m very proud of him…
Tuesday
I’ve just been told Tony has been found unconscious! Someone struck him in the head. It could only have been Bruce or Aden. Bruce has been upset with Tony for a while and was not pleased when he had a go at him for firing his gun at Aden and his mates when he found them tearing up his paddock. They were doing it out of some kind of childish revenge for Aden being kicked off the football team. Tony dropped Aden after he found out he’d gotten Geoff drunk and locked him in the boot of a car. Bruce pulled Geoff out of the school and the team when he heard about that. I hope Tony’s OK and we can sort out this whole mess…
Bruce has a solid alibi. He was in hospital. He’s been keeping a serious heart condition secret. He’s a funny old codger. Did Aden attack Tony?...
It seems Matilda is going to be moving in with Martha. I have a funny feeling there’s going to be a long adjustment period for both of them…
Wednesday
Sam and Rory have moved in to the Hunter House with Jack. That’s great news for Jack (at least, I think it is – maybe things really are over between him and Martha) but I’ve just been told poor Rory has gone missing. Jack think Sam’s ex, Shane, has kidnapped Rory. Could Shane have bashed Tony too? Anyway, Rory was seen in a green van and Jack and the police now know the number plates…
I’ve just heard the news. Rory has been found alive but Shane is dead and Jack’s career might be over. Apparently Jack continued a high speed chase of Shane after he was ordered to stop and it ended with Shane crashing his van, killing him instantly. Inside the van were some passports and enough food for several months. Shane had obviously been planning on taking Rory overseas on the fishing boat he was spotted on, but when the police searched the boat he wasn’t on it. Shane’s accomplice confessed that he’d jumped overboard! Thankfully Jack found him but it might not be enough to save his career. Defying orders is a serious matter…
Mr Fisher is back in town! Alf just told me. But I wonder why?
Thursday
Well it turns out that Mr Fisher has broken up with his wife and his ex-wife, lovely Marilyn, has breast cancer. Not only that, but poor Mr Fisher is broke! He asked me for a teaching position at Summer Bay High and I would only be too happy to help him….
Funny how things turn out. I just found out the board has named Mr Fisher as my Deputy Principal. My old teacher now works for me. Well, sort of. I hope Brad is not too hurt by the department’s decision…
Silly Drew continues to choose his car over Belle. Boy and their toys. If Belle wasn’t so upset I would have to laugh…
Brad and I have decided to put aside the wedding preparations for now. He wants a big wedding because his first one was small, I want a small one because my first was big. I’m sure we’ll works something out eventually. We are in love…
Friday
Brad has come to see that Mr Fisher is a very good teacher. Old fashioned, but very good. They’re clashing heads over the remedial reading program but I’m sure they will figure something out…
Martha and Mattie had their first big flatmate fight. Matilda has been pushing it this week, what with Ric over there all the time, but Martha is actually more upset about Jack. Mattie does need to learn a few things about share house living though…
A little bird just told me that Jazz really does have an ulterior motive for being so nice to Drew: he is the sole beneficiary of his grandmother’s will! Sshhhh….
Love, Sally.
