Hello Everyone,
Well, I’m going to start with news from our house this week. Pending an investigation by the school board, poor old Brad has been suspended as Principal of Summer Bay High. It’s so ridiculously unfair, I’m not even going to start. Let’s just say I’m sure it will only be a temporary situation and the board will see it his way. He was only trying to do the right thing by Naomi and Lucas. Even Colleen has come to see it that way – she wrote an apology article for the paper.
Now Brad’s at home, he’s been doing a lot of work around the caravan park. It’s great, but I got a bit concerned when he told me he found some heavy painkilling drugs in Alex’s linen. I didn’t think it was any of our business, but then he saw Alex acting a bit suss with a strange guy. Later on, Brad found that guy trying to break into Alex’s caravan! I don’t know what’s going on, but I sincerely hope it doesn’t involve drugs. Leah would be devastated.
Alex hasn’t had much luck lately. We found out that it was Jules who stole his bike and crashed it. That boy is so reckless – he was injured in the crash and no one (except Drew, of course) found out until he collapsed at home. After he got back from hospital, Dan and Leah realised there was nothing more they could do for him – he’s not changed his behaviour since he came here – so they sent him back home to his parents. Cassie’s a bit upset about it… ah, teenagers! Anyway, between you and me, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was still in the Bay, hiding somewhere.
I’m hoping the break Jules will help Drew get his life back on track. I had a chat to him about coming back to school and I hope he thinks about it – he’s been giving Dan and Leah so much attitude lately. In fact, Dan decided to call his Mum about it. Perhaps she might come up here and straighten him out?
I’ve been told that Kim and Rachel are having major marriage problems at the moment. Last I’d heard they were both keen to have a baby together and were looking at artificial insemination, but now it seems that not only does Kim not want to do that, he doesn’t want to have a baby at all with Rachel. At least, not for a few years.
Poor Rachel would be taking that hard. I also happen to know that her best friend, Hugh, has confessed his love for her, so I’m sure her feelings would be all over the place at the moment. I really hope she figures out what she wants. It’s looking like she might have to choose between her marriage to Kim or a new life with Hugh.
Kim isn’t exactly helping the situation by spending so much time with Kit and their son, Archie. I know it’s important for a dad to spend time with their child, but part of me wonders if Kim might secretly still love Kit and wanting to be around her too. I mean, we all know she’s still in love with Kim and now I hear Mattie has spelt it out to him.
In less serious news, Jack had a funny night with Martha this week. She ran into him at the diner while he was waiting for his date to arrive, but unfortunately she never did. Of course, Jack didn’t tell Martha this and made up a story about his new woman. Martha promptly invited them both over to dinner with her and Hugh (who jack mistakenly thought had become an item). But then Hugh couldn’t make it and jack’s fantasy girlfriend didn’t either. Alf accidentally let it slip when Martha went to the diner for dessert and after a bit of playful torture he had to confess it was a lie.
The thing is, it sounds like they had a really good night together…
Luc seems to have finally forgiven Tony for making that mistake with Naomi. Tony bought Alf’s old boat and after a hard talk from Ric, Luc decided that he would help restore it. I think Ric’s a good influence on Luc.
Alright, well that’s enough from me. I’m going to take a walk on the beach. It’s been a long week.
Love, Sally.
