Hello Everyone,
My suspicions about Amanda’s sister, Kelli, turned out to be well-founded this week as we all discovered what a psychopath she really is! After all the bad luck and (bad judgements?) she has had recently, Amanda decided to pack up her bags and leave the Bay. Apparently Kelli has been orchestrating Amanda’s spectacular downfall over recent weeks and when she heard that Amanda was leaving town, brought about the culmination of her evil plans.
We first sussed that something was up when Belle collapsed at the Diner and Peter and Irene rushed her to hospital. Irene tells me that earlier, Belle had found a bottle of sedative in Kelli’s bag and it turned out that it was the same sedative found in Belle’s bloodstream! Peter soon put two and two together and headed to Amanda’s, only to find both her and Kelli gone. That sneaky Ethan fella was there though and he reluctantly joined Peter in the hunt for Kelli and Amanda…
Luckily they found her just in time. My guess is that Amanda must have found out about Kelli’s plans and tried to do a runner there and then. Kelli was probably chasing her when Amanda lost control of the car but fortunately managed to escape just before it exploded. I’ve even heard rumours that Kelli was taunting a trapped Amanda in the car and refused to help her to escape, but I’m not sure what to believe.
All I know is that poor Amanda has been left reeling with the revelation that her little sister could be so bitter and twisted as to systematically destroy her life. Now that Peter knows the truth about her and Ethan, maybe they will rekindle their love? We’ll have to wait and see…
I think it’s about time that Kim swallowed his pride and began appreciating his wonderful wife. Rachel has been nothing but supportive and understanding in light of the rather unusual circumstances they find themselves in. Not many women I know would step in and pay the bills for their husband’s baby by another woman! He should realise that these days, women are just as capable of supporting a family as men are and he should be grateful for Rachel’s help.
I appreciate that Kit has been feeling useless recently and she certainly has a lot on her plate. But Kim needs to remember that he has a wife who also needs his love and attention and he can’t keep making her feel less important than everything else in his life. All he seems to be doing is pushing Rachel further and further away and, unintentionally, into the arms of the dashing Dr Hugh…
I’m horrified to hear about what happened to Martha at the club. It sounds like that sleazy businessman wanted a lot more than dancing from Martha - which she certainly wasn’t prepared to do. She fought him off and had a lucky escape but I’m really not so surprised that Cam would put her in danger for the sake of his club. When will she realise that Cam is just a lowlife who doesn’t have her best interests at heart?
Jack told me about the money going missing at the Diner and we both have our suspicions that Cam had something to do with it. His club is in deep water and he needs this sleazebag Lou Baines to back him or else he’s done for. I just worry that next time Martha might not be so lucky to escape a similar situation…
Well, Jules’ first day at Summer Bay High was anything but smooth – Cassie needs to be careful there. She got him to open up to her about what happened with Lily but it seems he might not have been ready to and set about humiliating Cassie in an attempt to push her away. Despite her good intentions, maybe Jules isn’t ready to be helped just yet. She always sees the best people and always backs the underdog but I think maybe it’s best if she leaves him alone for a while. He’ll open up to her again when he’s ready.
I’m thrilled to hear that Lucas is back from Writer’s Camp – Tony must be stoked to have him around again. The three Holden boys are more like mates than father and sons and I think having his youngest son back will do Tony the world of good. I heard that Lucas even turned down a scholarship at a prestigious school to be with family at this difficult time. Tony didn’t want him to give up the opportunity but Lucas could see how much his father is hurting. Plus he seemed pretty keen to get back to Summer Bay High, especially after hearing about the new teacher Naomi Preston. Then again, I suppose most of the boys are!
Well, I’m off to do some mark some papers now – so much to do, so little time!
Love, Sally.
