Ric’s been charged with Rocco’s murder!
I just can’t believe it. We’re all absolutely devastated. Poor Mattie is so upset – the prosecutor badgered her into revealing that Ric had actually talked about wanting to kill Rocco. But it was just talk! He was angry…
But in no way was it Mattie’s fault. Ric got ambushed in that courtroom. Even Johnny was called in as a witness! It was just one thing after another and now poor Ric is in prison. Morag is going to launch an appeal. We have to find a way to get him out…
We nearly lost Rachel and Kit this week as well. Those two had had a bit of an argument when Kit came down with a sudden migraine. Rachel was driving her to the hospital when she lost control of the car. When it finally stopped they were right on the edge of a cliff!
Luckily, Kim and Dan noticed there’d been an accident and drove out to the cliff top. It was close, but Kim managed to get them both out of there. Kit was rushed to hospital where everyone was relieved to find out she and the baby will be fine.
I wish the same could be said for Rachel and Kim. They are really struggling at the moment. Kim’s angry at Rachel because he thinks she shouldn’t be having any kind of an argument with a pregnant woman, but Rachel’s in a very difficult situation and Kit had no right telling Rachel how best to handle her husband. I hope those two can work it out. Kit is not making it easy for them…
It seems Amanda’s not having an easy time at the moment. I don’t know exactly what’s going on, but I’ve had this hunch that her sister is up to something. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out she’s back to get revenge on Amanda. We all know what Amanda used to be like, so I can’t really blame Kelli, but Amanda seems to have changed. For the better.
I heard a whisper that Kelli has been meeting up with a mysterious man. I wonder what they’re plotting. Perhaps the two of them are working together to blackmail or extort Amanda. She’s been running around like a headless chook lately and I know it’s not just pre-wedding jitters…
My young friends, Belle and Drew, continue to hide their feelings for each other. Drew has a new girlfriend, Lisa, and Belle’s sticking with Lucas, but I can just tell they still like each other. Something about the way they steal glances at each other. That and the fact that Irene filled me in on the situation. She’s a smart woman, Irene.
A relationship that is going from strength to strength is Jack and Sam’s. Sam and Rory have now moved into the house and it seems like one big, happy family over there in the Hunter-Holden house.
It’s not so happy here at our house. Ric’s in prison, Martha’s become more and more distant, Cassie still hasn’t decided to come home; it’s all a bit strange. But I hope things will improve. I hope Martha starts talking more to us. Something’s changed with her, I can feel it. I hope we can bring the old Martha back.
