Hello Everyone,
I have some very, very sad news. Rocco, the troubled kid who came into the Bay with the courage to want to change his life, is now dead. And despite the fact that he hurt me, I cannot feel angry at him. He was just a boy trying to do the right thing, but his brother and his gang refused to let him.
Rest in peace, Rocco, rest in peace.
He died in hospital trying to speak to Detective Peter Baker, but unfortunately, he wasn’t able to say anything before he passed away. That has meant that Ric has now been charged with his murder. All the evidence points to him, but we know Ric didn’t do it. In fact, we’re sure Johnny’s behind it all.
The way Johnny behaved at Rocco’s funeral was disgraceful. One final moment of peace for Rocco shattered by an older brother consumed with anger and resentment. He blamed us for Rocco’s death – that somehow by believing in him, welcoming him into our house and giving him hope we were doing the wrong thing.
Well, we absolutely did the right thing by Rocco and we genuinely cared for him. Now even Ric, who was so upset at Rocco and so angered and disillusioned by being charged with his murder, is firmly back on track. We need to get justice for Rocco. And we will. I know it.
Now, onto other events from this week...
My good friends Rachel and Kim are really having their relationship tested by Kit’s pregnancy. They had a fight after Rachel disagreed with Kit’s decision to have a home birth – Rachel doesn’t think it would be safe. It’s a tough situation for both of them and to be honest, I sometimes wonder if Kit just might still have feelings for Kim.
Speaking of hidden feelings, Belle is barely keeping hers under control. She’s doing the right thing, I hear, by not giving into Drew’s advances - in fact, I hear she's told him to move on (which he has, apparently, with Lisa). Hopefully Lucas coming back will help sort things out for Belle. Then again, maybe not. Only time will tell, but I am glad to see she has no intention of cheating on Lucas.
Unlike Ash, who was finally revealed this week to be the cad that Morag and Alf know him to be. He lied to Martha, telling her he had told his wife he was leaving her, but Jack found out the truth and when Martha confronted him, he couldn’t deny it any longer. Martha is absolutely devastated and I’m sure seeing how happy Jack is with Sam and her son, Rory, has only compounded the situation. Poor girl, I hope she doesn’t go off the rails…
Well, I best be off. I want to check in on Leah and Dan and see what they think about Peter and Amanda getting engaged and what they make of Amanda’s sister, Kelli. I’m positive she’s up to something…
Love, Sally.
