Sally’s parents were killed in a boating accident when she was three and Sally lived with her grandmother for a little while, but her foster-mother, Pippa, is the only mum she has really known.
When Pippa moved to Queensland, Sally felt she should go too, but as her friends were in Summer Bay she decided to stay.
Sally used to come across as a conscientious, serious-minded person, but as she has matured and achieved fulfilment in life, she has become a mother-figure and role model and is an integral part of the Summer Bay community, especially to young people. Through Pippa's generosity, she is also is the owner of the Summer Bay Caravan Park.
Intelligent and hard working by nature, Sally also knows how to let her hair down, when appropriate. She was Principal of Summer Bay High School, but after being stabbed by Johnny Cooper, has been recovering and trying to decide on her future. One ray of sunshine was the discovery of her twin brother Miles. They were separated at the age of three and the trauma caused young sally to create an imaginary friend called 'Milco'. After 20 years, Sally and Miles are re-united.
Relationship status
She was engaged to Brad, but couldn't go through with the wedding due to her feelings for Flynn.
Past relationships
A marriage to her true love, Flynn, with whom she had baby Pippa, thanks to their friend Leah (played by Ada Nicodemou) who agreed to be a surrogate mother for them. Sally's world collapsed when Flynn died of cancer.
She even made it down the aisle once before that, but ran from the church when it was revealed that her fiancée Keiran (Spencer McLaren) had been having an affair with Gypsy (Kimberley Cooper). She also had a long relationship with Vinnie.
Family
Sister to Miles and mother to little Pippa. She is a foster parent to Ric and Cassie, carrying on the good tradition of Sally's foster- mother Pippa. She considers Alf to be like a father.
Friends
Well, Sal’s friends with just about everyone in the Bay, but is especially close to Leah.

Lives in the Summer Bay house with Pippa, Miles, Alf, Ric and Cassie.
