Hi all,
So all of this secrecy and hospital visits for Irene have finally been revealed. Young Oliver is Kirsty and Kane’s son, and naturally Irene tried to help. It’s still hard to believe that she broke the law for them and kept it a secret all this time, but they are like family, and she saw no other option.
It’s just really unfortunate how it all unravelled, in that Kane ended up robbing a jewellery store, getting caught, and putting Aden’s dad in hospital. And as close as I was with Kirsty, all signs of the burglary at the Den point to Kane too, and that’s pretty hard to swallow from a friend. For the sake of their child though, I hope everything works out. Apparently Kirsty had no idea about all of the crimes Kane pulled over the past three years. Even though she took off knowing she was harbouring at least a convicted criminal, I do hope the police consider that Kane was innocent of the original crime which started all of the theft in the first place.
Oh, look at me, taking pity on the thieves who are putting the Den into bankruptcy. I really can’t help it though; I cannot even imagine what they’ve been through. I am just so upset that my tribute to Dan is a failure. On top of that, if Irene gets sent to prison, the Diner might go down that same trail. Goodness, so much can change in a week!
I hear that Larry isn’t doing too well in the hospital either. Belle spent the day there with Mattie while Ric was bandaged up and stayed for Aden, when no one else was there. It seems that Larry was drinking on the job and taking aspirin, causing his blood to be too thin for safe operation. I hope Rachel and the other doctors can pull through for Aden and Larry. Aden really is making a huge turn-around since living with Roman, and I would hate to see more trouble thrown on his plate.
I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there seems to be so much lately! I can at least say that Melody’s situation has made a turnaround. Axel changed his statement and confessed to his assault charges. I guess as a minor the police found his honesty rather commendable and only gave him a lifetime of community service as punishment, but at least he hopefully learned his lesson and I hope Melody can move on with her life. Geoff’s been there supporting her the whole time too, what a bond those two have formed.
Speaking of bonds, I hardly have time to see friends anymore! Though I can’t help but admit I am trying to avoid Miles after we had an awkwardly charged moment earlier this week. I can’t have feelings for anyone so soon. It makes me feel incredibly guilty, and I’m just going to stay away from him for a while. At least I finally spoke to Rachel again, even though the Den is not picking up as I’d hoped, it seems that all the goss I get is from the young people in the bay. Well, I actually spent some time with Rachel, and I think she and Tony are planning on being parents! I think is just the thing to bring some joy back into our crazy lives! There is nothing more beautiful than bringing a new life into being.
With Love
