Check in here every week to see what Leah thinks of all things Summer Bay… Email your feedback to homeandaway@seven.com.au
Hi all,
Another week has passed in the bay, and things are looking ugly for the almost everyone! I have been trying to be supportive of Miles and Jai rebuilding their relationship and I think I put a big ugly wedge between it!
It all started with a burglary at the Den. You see, last week I left the money bag in my car and ran back into the Den for all of two minutes, and when I returned, the money was gone. Jai was the only person I saw at that time and he just seemed suss from the beginning with the way he was snooping around in the kitchen. I accused him of stealing and Miles didn’t defend him very well. Anyway, turns out that Jai was with Annie, and Miles not taking Jai’s side has only made Jai trust Miles even less.
I wish I could take it back, or even make it better, but I think I have to distance myself from Miles too. Things just got too friendly too fast between us and I’m not looking to move forward and betray Dan, especially when I’m not even doing half of what Dan would be doing for the kids with the Den. So now the Den is in big financial trouble, and I set Miles and Jai back and feel helpless in making it better. I had to cut Belle loose for a while and she was my only sense of stability and sanity through all these crazy times!
Belle’s got a heap of news to share herself too. Though I think her personal life is pretty stable at the moment; it seems everyone around her is in deep trouble. Geoff burst in the Den while I was out and very uncharacteristically started a fight with Axel. Thank goodness Aden was there to break it up! I can’t use any more negativity in this place. But when Belle filled me in on what happened, it made it much clearer why Geoff would do such a thing. I am even disgusted myself. Poor sweet and innocent Melody was assaulted the night of Nicole’s party by Axel. I can never believe when something like this happens in such a friendly place as Summer Bay, but I think they’re going to do whatever they can to keep Axel from doing it again. With that in mind though, after Belle took off from the Diner she found a nearly unconscious and badly beaten Axel lying in the sand. Whoever did that should have just left his punishment in the hands of the authorities, and now poor Irene has heaps more stress on her shoulders to top off dealing with poor Ollie and Geoff’s AVO.
And remember how last week I was talking about all of the drama that Ric and Matilda had been through. Well things seemed like they were moving up when Belle told me Mattie is interviewing for a university in Western Australia, but poor Matilda’s good news was overcast by the worst news possible for Ric. On his first day working at the hospital he found out that Viv was there and lost their baby. The poor kid did so much to save their child’s life and lost him. Things work out in strange ways though. I hope this doesn’t set them back too much; they are so young and have a lot to look forward to still.
Well, hopefully things get brighter for us all. Until next week!
With Love
