Girlfriend magazine are giving you the chance to decide who goes on their August cover (onsale June 28). Vote here on our site from the pix available and the Home and Away celebs that get the most viewer votes make the cover! We chatted to Girlfriend editor Sarah Oakes about this cool comp.

Q. Why run a competition like this?

A. Coz Home and Away is pretty hot right now, we definitely wanted to run a cover and we weren’t sure who to go with. We thought it was best to go straight to the most important source – Home and Away viewers!

Q. What’s the GF office vibe of who will be in the running?

A. Hmm… we’re a bit divided on that one. My feeling is one of the combinations with Isabel Lucas but you never know – it might depend on who’s involved in the most interesting story lines during voting week.

Q. Home and Away is hotter than ever right now - why do you think so many people are tuning into Summer Bay every night?

A. The cast are really cool at the moment (Rhys Wakefield and Jodi Gordon are my favourites), the story lines are pushing boundaries and I do like the way they’ve gone all OC and are using cool local bands like Red Riders as background music.

Q. If you could play any character on Home and Away (past or present), who would it be and why?

A. I wonder what it would be like to play Morag Bellingham... I don’t think I’d ever like to play a character that people didn’t love. I think I’ll say Angel (Melissa George’s character) because that wedding scene where she goes from the wheel chair to walk down the aisle is a classic soap opera moment.

GF Office Poll: And the winners are…!

Best Dressed: On screen: Isabel Lucas. Off screen: Jodi Gordon – we still haven’t stopped talking about how amazing she looked at the Logies!

Cutest Couple: Lucas and Maddie were so good together, you really can’t go past them – we hope they get back together soon!! Kim and Rachel also rate pretty highly too.

Best Old-School Character: Alf Stewart hands down. (The other day I heard a guy on the train with a ‘Flamin heck’ ring tone )

Best Storyline: The Josh West murder had us glued to the telly each night, as did Tash joining the cult.

Sweetest Moment: Martha has inspired us to one day ask our BFs to marry us, as long as we look as gorgeous as she did!!

Most Controversial Moment: Where to start? We so didn’t see Barry Hyde being Josh’s killer, Macca hitting Cassie was full-on and scary, Charlie blaming Rachel for his Gran’s death = OMG, Lucas hitting Tony… Stop me now or I’ll be here all day!

Most Despicable Character: The original and the best villainess, Zoe. Hiss!!
