Hello All,
I still can’t believe it. Kim has left the bay! Those indecent assault allegations Tara has made against him have spiralled so far out of control that Kim has transferred his bail to the city, with Rachel soon to follow. It’s so unfair…
I think it was all just too much for poor Kim. First, he’s charged with something he didn’t do, then Tara tells all these lies about him on the radio and then he’s fired from his job at the gym. Now I’m hearing that he and Rachel were also receiving abusive letters and some kids nearly vandalised their house.
If only Tara’s Dad wasn’t the Police Superintendent. Morag and Jack know he’s protecting her – they think he’s the one trying to block access to Tara’s criminal record. But then Rachel didn’t exactly help matters when she confronted Tara and ended up getting in an argument with her right in front of her dad. Now Tara has taken out a restraining order on Rachael!
When Morag did finally manage to get a copy of Tara’s missing files they revealed she’d only been charged with shoplifting. Hopefully Jack, Morag and Rachael can come up with something to clear Kim’s name…
Kim’s case isn’t the only one Jack has had to work on this week. There was another fire! Terrible news I know, but I found it really hard not to laugh when I heard that Drew had been questioned about his whereabouts during the fire and had to reveal he’d been in Amanda’s shed – whilst Amanda was doing some nude sunbaking! That’s teenage boys for you. Amanda wasn’t very happy and it looks like The Pyro is still on the loose…
Poor old Lucas hasn’t been very happy this week either, which is a shame because his dad, Tony, has just been appointed manger of Amanda’s gym and Matilda has finally come home from the retreat. I hear Lucas is heartbroken because it looks like his relationship with Mattie is well and truly over now (apparently, she’s been kissing a boy she met on the retreat called Dean). Lucas is going to have to find a way to be friends with his ‘step-sister’. That won’t be easy I imagine…
This week hasn’t been an easy one for me either. Emily told me that her condition has been getting worse, but didn’t want her husband, Brad, to know. But when we got back from her check up and she had another nose bleed, I told her she had to tell him. He was stunned and stormed off, but not before he got really angry at me for knowing more than he did. I felt terrible and it brought up all these emotions I must still be feeling about Flynn – I even watched his goodbye video again.
When Emily came to ask me to speak to Brad about what it’s like to lose a loved one, I couldn’t refuse. I found Brad down at the wharf and he apologised and we talked and then he started to cry. He loves his wife so much and doesn’t want to lose her. It was such an emotional moment for me – I know exactly how he feels…
I’m a bit worried about Cassie. Macca being back in the bay has stirred up some of Cassie’s old feelings towards him. She was trying to tell me that she loves Ric, but accidentally said that Macca is the one for her and was so embarrassed about it. A little later I found her crying and she admitted she still loves Macca. All I could do was remind her of how he treated her and tell her that I would respect whatever decision she made, as long as she tells Ric about her feelings. Thing is, Ric’s just been sent away for work. I wonder how Cassie will go with Macca back in town and Ric away?
Seems like there’s been a lot of homecomings this week, what with Tasha and baby Ella back from the hospital as well. But it’s not all good news. Morag and the others have a big task proving Robbie innocent. I thought it was nice, though, that Amanda has expressed her support to Robbie – she was after all, married to Robbie’s grandfather that he is now accused of murdering.
Apparently, Tasha has really been suffering lately. She’s having trouble bonding with Ella because it reminds her of so many bad things – the cult, Jonah, Mumma Rose – but Irene has brought in Charity, who’s a mid wife and I hear she’s been really helpful, explaining that post natal depression is quite common. With Charity’s words and Martha’s help, Tasha has even managed to confess to Robbie how she’s been feeling about Ella. I think we’re all going to have to keep helping Tasha, though…
That’s all for this week, my friends. Talk to you all again soon.
Love Sally.
