Hello All,
Well, do you want the good news or the bad news? I think I’d rather get it over and done with and give you the bad news first...
Poor Kim has been charged with indecent assault of a minor. Now, I don’t believe for a second that he did anything inappropriate with Tara and neither does Jack, but the new district Superintendent is Tara’s father and it seems she’s got Daddy wrapped around her around her little finger.
Kim thinks Tara is seeking some kind of twisted revenge for him rejecting her and was desperately hoping that the hospital tests she was sent off to take would prove nothing happened, but then something terrible happened… the tests went missing! Worse still, Jack and the Superintendent found Tara’s file – with no documents – inside Rachel’s desk at the hospital. Tara’s father immediately decided that Rachel must be trying to protect Kim and so Jack had no choice but to charge him.
Unfortunately, the nightmare for Kim continued when the whole story was announced on the radio. With the news all over town, Amanda had no choice but to fire Kim from the gym. I feel so bad for him! He has to stay here with everyone gossiping until the trial ends. I hope there’s something Morag can do.
That Tara girl isn’t the only teenager in town causing problems. Looks like Summer Bay’s newest couple, Belle and Drew, have seen Bonnie and Clyde too many times. I noticed they were missing from school one day and so rang Amanda who went straight over to Leah’s. Apparently, she found them in bed together! After finally being read the riot act by Leah (who’s been really good to him), Drew decided it would be a good idea to run away and Belle was only too happy to join him. Unfortunately for them, the first car to stop was being driven by Leah and Amanda.
It was a pleasant surprise to hear there’s been a positive outcome to their running away. Leah calmed everyone down and suggested a rational conversation in which Amanda offered Drew some work at her place – allowing him to see Belle under supervision and to earn some money.
Hopefully, there’ll be a similarly positive outcome to these budget cuts at the school. Unfortunately, Brad has had to let Tony go. I hope he can find a new (and even better) job soon. Apparently, Beth has been really supportive, but Lucas is taking it a bit hard what with everything else that’s going on in his life. A little birdy told me that he went to see Mattie, only to find her kissing Dean. Poor kid...
I was really hard on Brad about firing Tony when it wasn’t really his fault, so I said sorry and invited him and Emily over for dinner. That’s when I learnt even more bad news. Emily’s a lot sicker than she’s letting on. She asked me to keep this to myself but I’m finding it really hard what with Brad thinking she seems to be doing well. I really feel for them both. Anyway, I don’t want to say too much more about that, because I want to tell you one last thing before the good news. Macca is back in town.
Cassie says she loves Ric, but when she opened the door to Macca she said she got the feeling she had when she first met Macca again. She quickly covered saying that she’s happy with Ric, but I’m concerned. Macca says he’s come back to start his life again and wants to show Cass he’s changed, but I’m not convinced yet...
Ok, time for the good news: Tasha gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! Robbie suggested they name her Ella and Tasha agreed. It’s so obvious that she really loves Robbie, but it looks like Tasha is having a lot of trouble connecting with her baby. It’s probably post-natal depression and it’s understandable – she’s been through so much already and it looks like there’s more to come, what with Robbie now being charged over helping his sick Grandfather to die. Yeah, I know, more bad news, but I’m really hoping it will all blow over soon and Tasha, Robbie and Ella can concentrate on being a family. Irene has been there to help with Ella and I’m hoping Tasha is talking through her difficulties with Martha – if it’s too hard to tell Robbie just yet.
Anyway, got to run now. I’m going to go and see little baby Ella.
Love Sally.
