It’s Mother’s Day again soon. How do you plan to celebrate your Mum this year?

I’m going to send her flowers and a card telling her I love her and all the things she did for me as a kid/ adult… would have loved to have flown down to visit my parents on this special day but unfortunately not this year!

Do you think it’s a good thing to have a day set aside to pay tribute to mothers (despite all the commercialism)?

Big time; mother’s give and give, they are so often selfless and that is a quality worth paying tribute to.

If you have kids, how would you like your kids to remember you on Father’s Day?

Just for my kids to realise I would always be there for them.

Mum knows how terrible I am at organising things so I plan to take her out to dinner… however it may not be on Mother’s Day.

Although you shouldn’t need a specific day to appreciate your Mum, yes it’s a good kick up the bum reminder to do something nice for her.

No kids, but my dog Reggie better have breakfast in bed made for me.

It’s Mother’s Day again soon. How do you plan to celebrate your Mum this year?

We will probably go out for breakfast with some family friends, give her a few presents and if she’s lucky, perhaps I’ll cook her dinner with my brother.

Do you think it’s a good thing to have a day set aside to pay tribute to mothers (despite all the commercialism)?

Eliminating all material aspects of the day I think it is a very deserving day on their behalf. There’s one guaranteed happy, relaxed day of the year while the other 364 remain stressful.

As a loving father I guess!

We send a card and a present and ring her to remind her how much she is loved.

I think it’s up to each family to make their choice showing love and gratitude can’t be a bad thing in my opinion!

I would hope they have some kind of knowledge of how dearly they are loved.

I spend the day with my daughter, son and husband. We normally go on a picnic.
