Hello Everyone,
I’m not going to sugar coat it: it’s been a very tough few days. Three times Brad has told me he’ll do one thing and three times he’s done the other. I was starting to wonder if I could ever trust him again after he hit Johnny, but I’ve decided that he’s right, these are extraordinary circumstances and I’m going to be by his side the whole way. Brad’s lost so much already, I guess I can understand why he’s been taking so many risks. He’s got to do it by the book now, though.
See, Brad punched Johnny because he taunted him, but I think more than anything, it was out of frustration. Violence is never the answer I know, and Brad is very lucky Johnny didn’t press charges, but I mean, we had the evidence to convict Johnny and it somehow goes missing?!
A few days ago, Brad spotted the car that ran him off the road and followed it back to the owner’s house. He found paint from his car on its bumper and then overheard Johnny and the car’s owner talking about an armed robbery. Brad told the police and they searched Johnny’s house. When they didn’t find any evidence, Brad did something very stupid and broke into Johnny’s house and found a bag of stolen jewellery. He then told the police he found the bag in the park where Johnny and his gang hang out. Forensics discovered Johnny’s fingerprints on the stolen jewellery and were about to press charges when the evidence somehow went missing from the courier! It’s enough to drive a man crazy…
Poor Kim has been stressed out lately as well. He told Rachel there was no way they were going to adopt baby Joe – it went against everything they’d already discussed about kids – but then he started to have second thoughts after chatting with Irene. He went back home only to discover Rachel had sent Joe back early (she was so upset she didn’t want to drag it out) and so didn’t say anything to Rachel, but fortunately, Irene eventually did. Rachel was upset, but she and Kim talked about it and now they’re going to go through the adoption process and soon, hopefully, Joe will be back in the Bay!
I don’t know what it is this week, but all the men in the Bay seem to be having a hard time. Jack’s certainly had his fair share: first, he falls out of bed trying to get himself into his chair one night. The next day he crashes to the floor trying to reach his pills and when he finally has a nice day out with Sam and Rory, it’s ruined when he starts asking Rory about Sam’s ex-boyfriends. Sam immediately takes him home and then later tells him she can’t be his physio anymore. Jack’s really worried about them now, he thinks that they must be in some kind of danger and are afraid to tell anyone about it.
Peter hasn’t had it easy either. It seems he and Amanda really are an item and they’re not going to be able to keep it a secret anymore. Leah figured out who Pete’s ‘mystery woman’ is and she’s told him that if he doesn’t tell Dan and Drew, she will. Those two certainly won't be happy if and when they find out.
Ash has a problem too and his is a very serious one: Morag . She’s convinced he’s hiding something and thinks he might have even been responsible for the missing evidence. Martha’s so upset with Morag, but she’s now realised she doesn’t know Ash very well, and so went and saw Tony about him. Tony rather reluctantly revealed that Ash used to regularly cheat on his high school girlfriend, got her pregnant, and then asked Tony for a loan to pay off some of his debts, but left town instead. Martha was upset, but Ash has assured her he’s changed since then. We’ll see, I guess…
On a lighter note, Belle and Matilda managed to trick Ric and Lucas again. They beat them at strip poker and poor Mr Stewart walked in on them just as they were taking it all off. Ah, teenagers! Speaking of, I hope Cassie’s not feeling too left out…
Love Sally.
