Hello Everyone,
It’s been an absolute nightmare of a week for Brad. First, ‘someone’ (it could only have been Johnny) tried to scare him one night at the school when he was working late. Then, the next night, Johnny calls Brad and starts talking about how I’m all alone at home! Brad raced over to see if I was OK and that’s when we realised it was probably just a ploy to get Brad out of the school. We raced back to find a message on the blackboard:
‘Moving on already? Emily would be disgusted’
We were both hurt by that, so when Brad saw Johnny at the Diner the next day, he did a silly thing and pushed Brad and threatened him. The next day, the police arrived at the school and found drugs in Greg’s locker. Greg then told them that it was Brad who sold them to him! The police agreed it was unlikely, but they had to follow procedure and so searched Brad’s office, house and car. That’s when they found half a kilo of marijuana.
Johnny has set Brad up. He’s also taken out an AVO against him and just to twist the knife even more, ‘someone’ rang the Department of Education and now Brad has been stood down, pending the outcome of the charges. I just hope for his sake, Brad stays calm and lets Morag do her job as his lawyer…
Morag has also been busy this week trying to figure out where she recognises Ash from. She seems to have a bad feeling about him and has discovered he was suspected of stealing in his first year as a police officer. She and Alf confronted him about it in front of Martha, but he did have a very good explanation. Martha was understandably angry at Morag and Alf, but between you and me, I think Morag’s hunch is right: Ash seems to be hiding something.
I think Peter and Amanda are hiding something as well. Amanda very nearly died this week when she was electrocuted by a lamp that had been broken the night before. The night Peter had stayed over to try and break his addiction to pain killers. She’s OK now, thanks to Dan finding her and doing CPR, but Leah mentioned that Peter is troubled about his feelings for a ‘mystery woman’. I think that woman is Amanda. He must be troubled because his son, Drew, is still angry at her for using (and then dumping) him.
In contrast to everything that’s been happening this week, I heard Belle and Matilda had a bit of fun with Lucas and Ric this week. The boys were planning on forcing the girls to be friends by taking them separately to the same picnic spot and leaving them there while they went to get coffee. Well, the girls saw right through it and faked a fight when the boys got back. The boys thought their plan had backfired, til the girls started laughing. A little later, they realised their plan had worked – just not in the way they intended.
Things seem to be on the up for Jack, too. I heard he had a very nice couple of hours with Sam’s son. Apparently, they were getting along like a house on fire. That’s probably how I’d describe Jack’s relationship with Sam too.
Well, that’s it for me. I’m off to the Diner to find out if the news about Rachel is true. She wants to adopt baby Joe?! Wonder what Kim thinks of that…
Oh and one last thing: Colleen’s convinced Mr Stewart to play Santa in the Christmas pageant! That’s if it ever gets off the ground. Colleen’s left town for a family emergency. I’m not sure anyone was as keen about a pageant as she was...
Love Sally.
