Great news, everyone: baby Ella has been brought back safe and sound!
Everyone’s worst fears were confirmed when Jack revealed that Mumma Rose had escaped from the psychiatric facility and then Tasha noticed that the tattoo on her foot matched the day’s date. When Charity was picked up by the cops shopping for supplies for Mumma Rose and wouldn’t reveal where Ella was, everyone was frantic. Amazingly, it was Irene who got Charity to confess. She pointed out how Mumma Rose was using her and how upsetting it is for a mother to be separated from her baby and finally, Charity told the cops where Ella was. But they were to hurry, she said, because Ella was to be ‘purified’ so that The Believers could attain eternal enlightenment.
The police arrived at the hideaway just in time, but Mumma Rose managed to lock herself in an upstairs room, threatening to drop Ella. Only Tasha was allowed up ‘to talk’, but Jack made a noise at the door, triggering a struggle between Tasha and Mumma Rose. When Jack busted through the door, Mumma Rose was dangling from a window! Jack and Fitsy pulled her back in and arrested her, whilst Tasha retrieved Ella from a crib.
We were all shaken by what happened, but just so happy to have Ella back, safe and sound. Everyone thought Jack did a really great job, including Martha, so it was a real shame they had another fight afterwards. Seems Martha’s a little jealous of the amount of time Jack spends with Fitsy. You know, I wish I’d found out about that fight earlier because it might have prevented me from thinking that Brad and Martha got together one night this week!
You see, Brad and I had ‘a moment’ this week. We’d spent nearly the whole day together and then – and this is so silly – we dropped these folders we’d been working on and we started to pick them up and I think the physical proximity sparked a bit of tension between us. That rattled Brad and he left. When I found him he was at the Surf Club having drinks with Martha. When I saw her leave Brad’s apartment the next morning I thought something must have happened between them. When I finally talked to Martha about it, she said that Brad let her stay because she had gotten so drunk that was too embarrassed to let anyone find out. Well, I was embarrassed to think I thought something had happened between them and now I’m paying the price: Brad is really upset with me.
Someone told me that Rachel thinks Brad has feelings for me and feels bad about it and Alf mentioned that Emily might have asked me to look after Brad because she could tell we had a special connection, but I’m just not sure right now. Anyway, in other news…
It’s finally been confirmed: Amanda has been having an affair with Drew. Drew snuck out from having a game of pool with Dan to see Amanda, but Dan managed to follow him and overheard Amanda breaking up with him! Well, Dan really got stuck into Amanda after that. I mean, Drew’s a schoolkid, Amanda’s an adult and her own daughter had been in a relationship with him first. Poor Belle, the girl is so upset about Drew breaking up with her that she got really drunk one night this week. The really sad thing is the break up has brought her closer to her Mum so imagine how Belle will feel if and when she finds out Amanda’s been having an affair with her ex-boyfriend.
Poor Cassie’s been having a really hard time lately too – the kids have been having a go at her about her affair with Macca. Not that he’s had it much easier. Macca’s lost his job and his room at the share house because of what they did. They seem to be closer then ever, though, which must be comforting for them both.
It looks like Ric and Matilda are getting along really well at the moment and Belle and Lucas have been spending a lot of time together lately, so maybe something good will come out of all these recent break-ups.
I had better be off. I just found out that Robbie could face up to 25 years in gaol if he’s found guilty of causing his Grandfather’s death and I also heard that Tasha’s received a mysterious letter from the U.S., so I think I might go and pop in on the young couple and see how they’re going.
